baby event

The South Parent Advisory Council (PAC) is hosting a morning of learning this weekend:

Saturday, April 16, 2011
10 am- 12 pm
Wilder Complex- 34th and Chicago Avenue S
Enter through door #2 (on 34th Street)

10:00-11:00 Baby Brains: What's going on in there and how you can help
From the Sage Education Center, speaker Stephanie Johnson MA, DTR, LPC demonstrates how our brains develop through the movements of our bodies. Learn to recognize the movements your baby is doing and how you can support optimal brain development.

11:15-Noon Yoga and sign language for caregivers and babies
Come with or without your baby to learn yoga poses you can do together. The sign language signs related to various poses will also be taught (for example, learn to sign "Cat" and "Cow" while doing those poses). A fun way to integrate a variety of movement into your days! You may want to bring a yoga mat or towel.

No childcare provided. Babes-in-arms welcome. Free!

I'm excited about this event- sounds like fun! My only decision now is who to bring- Dakota or Luna?

See you there!
